Each component has been meticulously shaped by hand, featuring gorgeous grain and medullary rays, and not a single screw in sight, instead held together with split tenons and other hidden joints. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOverall in fabulous structural condition, with wear commensurate with use, lightly scuffed with small marks from decades of use, and just one very small but stable split to the seat join. I'd like to imagine this was specially commissioned by an artist or craftsperson requiring a studio stool that only Richard La Trobe-Bateman could dream up.
