about us
SAD GALLERY
Launched at the very beginning of 2024, SAD Gallery was initially led by Co-Founders Adam Wolstenholme and Sohan Devabhai until 2026. Now, Adam is the sole director after two fantastic establishing years in the trade.
Adam's passion for design, craftsmanship and storytelling drives SAD. Initially focused on 20th century Scandinavian decorative objects, the collection has since expanded to include pieces that reflect his values and mission to highlight lesser-known craftspeople and their stories. Good design should be accessible, and Adam remains committed to providing honest and detailed information about each piece - whether it's a rare collectable or an anonymous creation.
2025 welcomed the SAD Designs range, featuring Adam's own designs, and will soon be representing up and coming and established artists/makers. SAD Gallery ensures full commitment to excellent quality and traditional techniques, supporting production solely in the UK.

ADAM
Adam Wolstenholme is a First Class BA Product Design graduate, hailing from the East Midlands. After exhibiting at New Designers in 2022, he is now a full-time product developer and production manager for the renowned antiques dealer and manufacturer of fine furniture, Howe London.
Antiques have been a life-long obsession of his, being an avid collector of objects for as long as memory serves. It all started with coins, fossils, army buttons, cigarette cards and dinky cars. Dolls house accessories and antique curiosities followed, but it was at the age of 18 that his eternal love for decorative objects really set in.
Following a 12 month internship in Stockholm, assisting management of Nordic design gallery Modernity, Adam had found the final inspiration needed to set up SAD Gallery. Solely 'Scandinavian Art & Design' might not fully represent the greatly evolved collection today, but the 20th Century design greats remain a constant source of inspiration.
When he's not photographing the current collection, Adam scours fairs, markets and private collections for more unique design gems at any given opportunity. Nothing brings him more joy than the hunt, the discovery, and the ultimate curation.
