A piece of simply jaw-dropping quality, extremely heavy for its size, and machined to absolute precision using what would have been industrial technology in its early 20th century infancy, this table lamp is a magnificent feat of craftsmanship.

Resplendent in solid brass throughout, unpolished yet gleaming, mounted on a cast brass base with hammered texture, growing into a mesmerisingly organic stem in the Art Nouveau style, suddenly terminating with a massive solid brass ball joint which even retains its stamped part number '1'. The movement of the joint itself is, amazingly, buttery smooth and will stay in any position it is pointed. A short array of machined parts is joined to this and the lampholder, a clean opening to the side allowing for the wiring to emerge.

Far more basic and undecorated ships lamps of this style do exist, but this goes above and beyond in all aspects including style, execution, precision and quality. Words can't do justice as to the exceptional workmanship involved to produce this lamp!
