Nothing screams Atomic Era more than outlandish construction and pops of colour, as well as brass and lucite in equal measure. This little ceiling lamp happens to have it all.

Starting at a very pointed brass ceiling cup, the piece is comprised of two light dusty blue painted steel dishes each holding a clear plastic plate, joined together with wonderfully aged brass rods enclosing the real centrepiece that is the tapered ruby red lucite rod suspended between both dishes.

Gorgeous patina throughout, cleaned not restored, and sympathetically taken apart before reassembly with single light fitting to the top dish. When illuminated, a soft glow is produced and gently emanates through the rod and shaded by the lower plate.

A piece of modest scale, best reserved for use in rooms with additional sources of illumination or smaller spaces requiring short drop height. It would make a joyful addition to a utility or children's room, for example.
