Designed by Gunnar Nylund for Rörstand, Sweden, a short round vase produced in the 1950's.
‘Brika’, the namesake of this piece and collection is regarded as Sweden’s first viking city: You could easily mistake this design to be a carved cup from a cow horn, with its tones of ivory and organic composition. The glazing is applied throughout, further adding to this organic physical and visual texture. A raised foot lifts the piece to appreciate the silhouette and carries the mark of Nylund for Rörstrand.
