Gunnar Nylund - the Artistic Director of Röstrand - refined his two-tone glazes with the ‘Collier’ collection including vases, jugs and dishes with pronounced features. These pieces consistently share the linear striations that slowly fade into the two-tone glaze. This dish featuring an exaggerated rim is an elegant and elevated example of Nylund’s work. The earthy hues mingle with the repeat patterns in harmony.
Simple lines and circles make up the repeat pattern, leading into the curvature of the bowl element of the dish.
Both the glaze and ceramic elements are in excellent vintage condition with no signs of wear.
