Eureka Repetit Alarm Clock, France. 1950s.
Eureka Repetit Alarm Clock, France. 1950s.
A joyous little alarm clock and a serious 'time-capsule' at that - all original packaging almost perfectly preserved featuring bold blazing red, white and black graphics that were typical of post-war optimism and modernist ideology. Nestled inside sits the equally striking timepiece, a bright coral Eureka Reptit produced in France, 1950s.
Not the rarest design but difficult to come across in good working order, and especially difficult to find in such well-preserved condition. The alarm bell is now a little half-hearted, and once wound up it occasionally just requires a kick-start by placing it face down for a minute. So much character to be found in the lost art of analogue technology!
