What a classic! Rightfully regarded as a design icon today, this is a lovely 1970s Maclamp designed by the revered Terence Conran, being my personal favourite version with plastic arms.
The earliest examples of this design featured wooden arms and wing nuts, but as many a collector can relate to, these always tend to be in less than functional states today. The same can't be said for the later plastic version which I have always favoured - this example being from my personal collection. Truly some fantastic plastic, used the right way with longevity and easy repair in mind.
Overall in good condition with the exception of the base bolt being replaced, so this has been locked in place. All other original parts are present, including the landholder, undamaged shade and even the in-line switch. Wiring has been updated for safety reasons. Such a simple way to elevate a desk space, and wonderfully functional in every way.
