An amazing and very rare task lamp with strip light fitting, suitable for desk/table as well as wall mounting.

Known as the 'Straight-Lite', made in Britain in typical Industrial Modernist fashion, featuring an all-brass construction. Two sturdy mounting brackets allow for installation, with hardwiring not necessary due to the plug-in configuration with in-line switch.

Most useful for table-top work, whether mounted to the wall above or on the writing/reading surface itself, the lamp can be carefully adjusted into a wide range of positions and can even be extended a couple of inches. An unusual yet clever feature is the swivel shutter, that whilst not fully closable does allow for a range of light levels.

I cannot think of a smarter addition to the office or living room; a piece with fantastic patina and versatility.

Specifications:

Safely rewired for the UK, requiring a standard 284mm S15 tubular bulb, Max. 5W LED.

The arms do wobble where they join to the tubular casing, but this is negated as soon as the lamp is mounted to its surface via the brackets. Requires careful adjustment and a firm hand to move into place, but it will stay exactly where the various elbow joints are positioned.

Max. Projection: 29cm / Width: 43cm
