Typical of Quistgaard's work, this ice bucket - one of many designs in a broad and varied range - is as sculptural as one would expect. The tapered walls are meticulously constructed from well-matched teak panels or blocks before turning, and the same can be said for the lid which is ever so slightly dished to match its handle and soften the form.
