Produced in the 1950's, this relatively well-known design produced by Gebrűder Cosack of Germany epitomises Modernist lighting of the period. Gentle and organic in shape, whilst exceedingly lightweight, the piece is ideal for simply installing via a hook or screw to be plugged in by your bedside.
A soft patina can be seen on the brass petal reflector, the lightbulb cleverly shielded by a creamy yellow perforated 'bud'. Overall the wear is consistent with age, this sconce design still just as useful and usable in the 21st century as it was during its conception.
